Miss Hart, Mr. Barnes Wed

Ashley Nicole Hart and Jesse Lee Barnes, III, both of Albany, exchanged wedding vows June 5, 2010, in the sanctuary of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Reverend Dr. Daniel Simmons performed the ceremony.

Miss Hart is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoyal Hart of Albany. Her grandparents are Mrs. Ruth Allen of Sylvester, and the late Aaron Jackson of Queens, New York. Miss Hart is currently a student at Albany Technical College, majoring in dental assisting.

Mr. Barnes is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lee Barnes, Jr. of Albany. He is the grandson of Earline Harrison. Mr. Barnes is a graduate of Albany State University and currently an employee with Metro South of Albany.

Upon commencement of the wedding, Miss Hart was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore an elegant off white strapless sweetheart beaded lace bodice featuring a cinched taffeta ball gown pickup skirt and church train.

Tinesha Fluellen served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Jenee Barnes, sister of the groom, Maritza Isler, Natasha Mayberry, Bernethia Thomas and Shonteal Tamasha White. Kirstin Bailey and Amaiya Marshall were the flower girls. Raquel Francis, Adrian Jefferson, and Terri Jefferson were hostesses. Denise Rutherford, cousin of the bride, served as directress and planner.

Gregory Harrison Barnes, brother of the groom, served as best man. His groomsmen were Micheal Barnes, Marvin Barnes, cousins of the groom, Raynard Darden, Desmond Hart, brother of the bride, and Detrand Wright. The groom’s son Javen Barnes, served as ring bearer. Glenwood Cheatam and Eric Proctor served as ushers.

Judith Hampton- Thompson and Kristen James provided the wedding music.

A formal reception followed the wedding ceremony in the multi- purpose room at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The couple will honeymoon in Florida.
