SWGA Regional Airport Parking Improvements

Starting this month, the Southwest GA Regional Airport parking lot became fully automated. This is the first of several customer improvements. 

David Hamilton, Transportation Director, said, “The purpose of this new automated parking system is to expedite vehicle exit time in the most efficient manner.”  He went on to say, “We are confident this new automated process will improve our customer’s experience in flying from the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport.”  

The automated airport parking system is consistent with amenities offered at a modern and progressive airport.   Mr. Hamilton said, “Providing expeditious exit is extremely important to traveling business leaders; therefore, the Albany Transportation Department researched and evaluated several parking vendors and options. The Amano McGann AMG-7800 Central Pay Station by ITR Parking Solutions is compatible with the existing parking structure therefore the best choice for our customers.”

The new Central Pay Station machine will be located inside of the terminal building and will accept cash, credit and debit cards.  Initially airport personnel will be available to assist customers through the transition. 

Passengers are encouraged to keep their parking ticket with them when they travel so that upon return, it is readily available for payment of parking fees inside the terminal building at the pay station.
