First Bethesda Baptist Church Celebrates 149th Anniversary

The First Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church Family will celebrate the 149th Anniversary of the church on Wed., Aug. 6 through Sun., Aug. 10, 2014.

The theme for the celebration is “A Church on the Move for Christ” taken from Philippians 3:12-14. Weldon Springs Baptist Church and pastor, Rev. Kelvin Hawkins, will be in charge of service on Wednesday night. Second Bethesda Baptist Church and pastor, Rev. Rance Pettibone, will be in charge of service on Thursday night. On Friday night, the Deacon’s Ministry of First Bethesda is sponsoring a fish fry.

All of the above services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly.

A testimonial/baptismal service will be held Sat., Aug. 9th at 10 a.m. The celebration will culminate Sun., Aug. 10th beginning with Sunday School at 9  a.m. followed by Morning Worship at 10 a.m.

Our own dynamic pastor, Rev. Lawrence A. Johnson, will deliver the morning message.

Dinner will be served immediately following the morning service.

New Testament Baptist Church and pastor, Rev. Kendrick Barlow, Sr. will be in charge of the 2 o’clock service.

Everyone is cordially invited to share in these services as we celebrate the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon First Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church,  7108 Newton Road (Highway 91 South) Albany, GA. The Rev. Lawrence A. Johnson is Pastor.
