Darton State College's Annual Career Fair Set For APRIL 22

ALBANY – Darton State College will hold its annual Career Fair, Wed., Apr. 22, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in room C-266 of the Darton Student Center.

The Career Fair, sponsored by the Career Center, is open to Darton students and the community.

This year the Darton Career Center  also sponsored workshops ahead of the fair to help job seekers improve their skills. Workshops included:  Dressing for Success: April 15; Creating a Winning Resume: April 16 and Developing your Interview Skills: Mon., April 20 at 12 p.m. - Student Center, room C-103.

The Career Fair is a great opportunity for students, alumni, and community members who are interested in securing full- and part-time employment. More than 25 employers are expected to be at the career expo giving attendees the chance to explore job opportunities available in a variety of industries. Job seekers are encouraged to wear professional attire and bring multiple copies of their resume. Many of the companies are looking to fill open positions and will be conducting on-the-spot interviews.  Companies expected to attend the fair include AFLAC, Albany ARC, Albany Department of Corrections, Albany Police Department, Aspire Disability Services, Atlanta Police Department, Columbus Police Department, Cumulus Broadcasting, DOCO Schools, GA Department of Public Safety, Hamilton Relay Services, Hospital Authority of Miller County, Houston Health Care, Integra Business Alt., Labor Finders, Mann Dental Care, M&M Mars, Microf, Open Arms, Phoebe Health Care Systems, Social Security Administration, Turner Job Corps, US Army, US Navy, Abraham Baldwin College, Albany State University, Brenau University, Clayton State University, Columbus State University, Thomas University, UGA-Tifton, UGA Corporate Extension, and Valdosta State University.  For more information about the Career Fair, please call (229) 317-6865.
