ALBANY, GA. — Albany Technical College and the City of Albany have joined forces to offer a Career Transition Fair again, April 18, from 10 to 12 Noon at the Albany Civic Center.

The purpose of the event, which was also held Thursday, April 16 at the civic center,  is to provide second career options for residents in the Albany MSA and specifically, to current employees of the City of Albany and Dougherty County, as well as retirees and those eligible for retirement who may wish to pursue a second career.

For those employees who desire opportunities to expand in their current positions, the collaboration could provide training opportunities available to them through Albany Tech’s list of programs in order to obtain a second career and/or enhance their skills and knowledge in current positions to gain job advancement.

Albany Tech will have admissions and financial aid representatives on hand to assist individuals who would like to go ahead and enroll.
